I gave in – and started a blog.
I never wanted to blog, I’ve always used my love of writing to tell other people’s stories – not my own but Change your Climate is something I’ve been thinking about for a while now and I guess, this is the launch.
I’m not going to be telling you to ditch your car and go veggie to ‘live your best life’ or anything like that – Change Your Climate is a response to my own pre-quarter-life crisis, triggered by climate change.
The world around us is in constant change, and I was struggling to accept the drastic impact humanity is having on the environment. It was all I could think about. Every plan I made, every meal I ate, every conversation I had – eco-anxiety took over and wormed its way into every aspect of my life. I lost sleep over it.
I’ve established a few little changes in my life that will not save the planet on their own but are relatively simple implementations and they’ve helped me gain control and be proactive in my plight to save the world. And I thought they might be worth sharing.
In summary, I started this blog for three reasons:
- To support other eco-anxious individuals and share new ideas
- To show others that they can make little changes to improve their impact
- To create a positive conversation around climate change
I’ll leave my first post with this – the climate crisis can’t be solved by one person doing everything, but if everyone does something, we do have a chance.
